The electronic version of the Oxford English Dictionary is very useful for looking up words when you are reading a Web page or any other document. To check up a word, you just need to double click it, but you have to install Ifinger software before you can use the dictionary, which has a trial period of 10 to 30 days (it depends on the version). The dictionary interface is really compact. You can install the search bar into the title bar of almost any Windows application, including irrelevant programs such as Ad-aware.
This utility has over 300,000 words in English. It is fast and easy to use. The software displays an icon in the system tray and a small floating window on the desktop, which you can access to perform any word search. The dictionary provides definitions and related words with a similar or the same semantic field. It comes with an interface in Spanish, English, French, Danish, German and other languages.
This great dictionary is compatible with operating systems from Windows 95 to Windows Vista.
